This awesome Dutch jazz power trio illustrates how artificial the bounderies between musical genres can be. Bennink and Glerum, for years the rhythmic axis of the ICP Orchestra, are associated with the avantgarde, piano virtuoso Borstlap with the mainstream; the irrepressable swing and rock solid sense of form of the first two and the undogmatic imagination of the latter make sure that the three of them can communicate with each other at the highest level.
